>Joleen Ong is the Communications Manager at Social Accountability International (SAI), and has been using communications and social media to raise visibility and funding for social issues over a decade. At SAI, she also works across all departments to support its programs and initiatives in various countries, including Bangladesh, Brazil, China, India, Nicaragua and Zimbabwe. She also manages SAI’s social media channels, and has been the editor of its monthly online newsletter for five years.

>Prior to SAI, she has worked on a successful social media campaign for Fair Trade on student campuses, and edited two award-winning short documentaries. She has given numerous presentations to schools, activist groups, foundations and nonprofits on how to leverage social media to increase visibility and raise funds.
>
>Joleen earned her MS in Nonprofit Management from the New School in New York, and BA in International Studies at the College of New Jersey.
