PDI with the support of ON
intends to develop a Community based Disaster Risk Reduction and Planning Manualin Sindhi Language to create awareness among the disaster
affected and prone communities on community based disaster risk management
keeping in view the increasing vulnerabilities and risks to hazards.
The purpose of this manual is to facilitate the
capacity building of local government officials on Community-based Disaster
Risk Management (CBDRM) in targeted districts of the Sindh. It is expected that
the manual will be adapted and used by local communities, Disaster Management Offices
(DMOs) and NGOs in the targeted districts.
