Resource Centre is not-for-profit organization, working in rural areas of Sindh
province since 2000 (http://www.irc-pakistan.com). IRC currently seeks application from
interested candidates to fill the following vacant post of 'Programme
Officer –WASH' in Ghotki district for its regular project on child
rights funded by UNICEF Pakistan.

Role
of Programme Officer –WASH:  
·         Liaise
with government and oversee any prospective water/sanitation schemes to be set
up by PHED or other solutions of provision of water in project areas.
·         Install/rehabilitate
community hand pumps, where required.
·         Provide
technical support to community members so that safe drinking water systems
developed by Government line department remains operational.
·         Trigger
communities utilizing principles of PATS approach to mobilize communities to
construct HH latrines and where latrines are available they should start using
them
·         Launch
ODF campaign in project villages as per PATS approach 
·         Technical
support to field teams for doing hygiene sessions/water treatment session among
community members 
·         Ability
to develop, manage & strengthen database regarding WASH beneficiaries of
project  
·         Provide
technical support to community members/ households and access to supplies for
appropriate sanitation facilities at household level
·         Ensure
that the community health workers through the National Programme are in place in
the target villages
·         Regular
monthly meetings of Health and Environment Committee (HEC) to bring clarity on
roles and responsibilities 
Monitor performance through
monthly progress reports assessing service impact and patient satisfaction
