Pakistan is experiencing catastrophic disaster due to a 7.7 magnitude earthquake in the south-west province of Balochistan.
The nation is once again confronted with a devastating natural calamity in the form of an earthquake. An emergency has been declared in Awaran and some other parts of Balochistan. This is being recorded as one of the deadliest earthquakes since October 2011! More than 300,000 people have been affected over a total of six districts - Awaran, Kech/Turbat, Gwadar, Panjgur and Khuzdar - Balochistan. Estimated damage for this earthquake will be around 100 million dollars, however further modelling will be done in the coming days.
Presently, MEHRDAR & ARM Disaster management team has been deployed and providing immediate assistance to the victims of the devastating earthquake. In times of emergency and disaster, the call to action cannot be ignored. We are committed to providing emergency relief rehabilitation and long-term sustainability to the victims of this disaster.
